Android Developer

Gully Network is building an asset-light and tech-enabled network of mid-size stores under the brand “GULLYMART”. We partner with existing unbranded stand-alone mid-size stores that wish to become part of a modern retail chain to improve their sales and income. We provide the store with an integrated tech-enabled solution consisting of exclusive supply, increased margin, superior fulfilment rates across the entire inventory, automatic and data-driven stock replenishment and access to credit and working capital.

We’re looking to bring a talented mid-level Mobile Engineer - Android on board. This position will be based in Bangalore/Remote.

We’d Love to Talk to You if You Have…

• You have 2 to 4 yrs of software engineering & product delivery experience with strong background in data structures & algorithms.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• You have experience with Flutter but Kotlin, Android SDK and open source libraries, API design, performance optimization, clean architecture or tools in the mobile space. Experience with Kotlin co-routines is a plus
• You have worked with MVVM architecture and used Jetpack libraries
• You have experience working with remote data via REST and JSON. gRPC experience is a plus
• You have a spark that separates you from the crowd and ability to think out of the box and on your feet
• You have the ability to learn other coding languages as needed real quick
• You are comfortable in working with a team that deals with ambiguity every day
• You can articulate complicated technical concepts clearly
• You possess multi-dimensional skills that make you a valuable co-worker in a fast, changing and ambiguous environment
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development 
• Proven working experience in Android app development and
• Have published at least one original Android app
• Experience with Android SDK & Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON. 
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
