Customer Centric UX Designer

Job Responsibilities

Basics: Create customer journeys, Wireframes, Navigation Flows, Wireframes and UI mockups on a variety of projects for both internal and external users.
Impact: Work with development teams to implement interaction improvements, new features for various projects and see your work coming to life.

Understand Need: Analyze user behavior on Mobile and Web, identify what users need (not what they want!) and identify potential solutions for a better customer experience.

Leadership: Advocate for the customer and user-centered design in a corporate environment. Establish best practices and methodologies on how designs are communicated and implemented.

Guidance: Work with project management teams to help establish priorities based on project goals and user needs
Empathy with Customers: You always try to understand what customers try to achieve, and you want to help them get there.

Data Driven: You don’t make design decisions because it’s trendy or popular on Dribbble. You make decisions because they’ve been shown to be effective and they cater to the customers you’re designing for.

Deep Understanding: You understand the complexity of a digital product, particularly information-dense products and cross-platform behavior. You understand a good design is not just what it looks like on the surface.

Eager to learn: You are eager to learn and grow as a T-shaped person. You love wearing different hats and juggling different tasks. Things like user experience, web typography, living style guides, and/or CSS tricks excite you.

Basic Requirements 

  • Preliminary education (B. Des/ M. Des) in user experience or interface design
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Interface Design, Interaction Design, or Information Architecture, an online shopping/payments space
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions
  • An innate capacity for creating engaging, highly usable designs and layouts
  • Fluency in best practices for Information Architecture and Interaction Design
  • Ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups in an iterative environment
  • A strong awareness of common Usability methods and principles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • A clean sense of design aesthetics, and a natural propensity towards simplification over complication
  • An aptitude and honed intuition for tasteful, visual design details
  • Experience working with metrics-driven analytics and A-B testing schemes to validate design assumptions
  • Experience building functional mock-ups with tools like MarvelApp and Invision
  • Experience with coding and development aspects of software development a plus
