Native Swift Developer at a Geo Exploration Startup

Breadcrumbs is a geo-exploration app that aims to be the Pinterest for places. Just like you go to Pinterest to discover and share great visual inspiration, or you go to Youtube to discover and share great video content, We want to make Breadcrumbs the place where users will discover and share great places. In effect it’s a geo social network.

We are a small team with experience building products for millions of users at some of the biggest tech companies in the world. We are looking to hire an awesome iOS developer to bring this product to life. While the team is based in Zurich, Switzerland, this is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• You will be the main developer on the iOS app and will be expected to own it end to end.
• Implementing social features like public profiles, push notifications etc.
• Working closely with design to strive for the ideal experience while having a strong voice to communicate development constraints so the best solutions can be found.
• Making pixel perfect implementations to maintain the high design standards of the current app.
• Iterative development in close coordination with the founders.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of iOS development experience
• Deep understanding of iOS development and ideally Swift
• Published apps in the App Store
• Proficiency in code versioning with git
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
• Previous work on location/map based apps is a plus.
• Firebase SDK and Firebase database knowledge is a plus.
