Backend Python Developer

Glide Invest is looking for someone with a passion for programming and for writing beautiful code. As a Fullstack Developer, you will primarily build and implement the backend in Python for the Fintech platform, and be flexible to work on Frontend code with React JS. You will work closely with the Tech Lead to ensure system consistency, code quality and improve user experience. Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company’s needs.

**Key Responsibilities include:**
* Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
* Work collaboratively with PM, designers, FE engineers and app developers
* Write clean, efficient, maintainable and reusable code and libraries and APIs
* Write well-tested RESTful backend APIs that service the frontend with JSON
* Design robust, scalable and secure features fit for the Fintech space
* Troubleshoot and debug applications through extensive unit testing
* Perform UI tests to optimize performance and user experience
* Constantly drive innovation and improvements in the platform

**Key Qualifications** required for this role:
* Qualifications: Bachelors in Comp Sys or Diploma in CS from NIIT or a renowned institute
* Min 3yrs of S/W development experience with exposure to full stack development
* Effective interpersonal, communication, collaboration and teamwork skills
* Passion for software engineering and a history of self-learning programming languages

In addition, these are the **skills** we are looking for:
* Solid understanding of object-oriented design, programming, and testing patterns
* In-depth understanding of the entire mobile/web application development process
* Experience building web applications using Python, Django and Javascript
* Working knowledge of Django’s Rest framework and GIT repository
* Experience with Message Queues like RabbitMQ and concepts of Caching
* Able to design, code, unit test, and debug complex, DOM-based applications
* Experience with code versioning, unit testing tools, CI/CD pipelines and Docker
