What is the mission?

As a tech lead in Hyphen, you will be required to,

1. Drive the technology of the Hyphen web and mobile applications
2. Participate in technical discussions with our SFO tech lead, and Director and arrive at the right solution for implementing the product and tech roadmap.
3. Write clean, testable code that follows S.O.L.I.D and DRY design principles using the right design patterns.
4. Test your code against acceptance criteria and demonstrate working solutions.
5. Review code written by junior engineers and provide timely feedback.
6. Expand your knowledge base to work as a full stack developer.
7. Provide input to the Director of Engineering and management to improve the technology, architecture and infrastructure of the product.

What do we need from you?

Must haves

1. 8-12 years of web application development experience with a well rounded full stack experience
2. Proven track record of shipping applications to production. Please provide links of your live work.
3. Strong working experience in React and Redux.
4. Strong working experience in MongoDB, ExpressJS and NodeJS.
5. Working experience in ImmutableJs.
6. Strong understanding of JavaScript and OOP concepts such as promises, async await, etc.
7. Strong exposure to Test Driven Development with Jest, Enzyme, etc.
8. Strong understanding of REST APIs, web sessions and databases
9. Expert experience in Scrum framework with exposure to Agile practices such as Pair programming, TDD and continuous integration/deployment.
10. Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
11. Experience in working in a dynamic startup environment that requires lots of initiative and self motivation.
12. Proven track record of attention to detail and proactive expectation management.

Nice to haves

1. Working experience in React native
2. Working experience in implementing microservices
3. Working experience in Docker or similar containers
4. Working experience in cloud solutions such as AWS, Heroku, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
