Technical Lead for fast-growing, funded, D2C e-commerce startup

Furrl is an early stage, funded startup building the next generation of fashion e-commerce through a discovery platform for D2C creators and brands. We are attacking the 100 billion dollar D2C market in India by creating a one stop shop for consumers to discover, validate and purchase these lakhs of independent brands and creators in India.

The Founder is an IIT Kanpur and Harvard Business School alum, who has built several businesses from ground up within large and small organisations including ITC and Myntra. Most recently, she launched Entrepreneur First, an early stage VC, in India and built a portfolio of 42 startups in 3 years.

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop our core systems from scratch.
• Guide the team in making strategic technical decisions.
• Find and address performance issues.
• Help build the engineering team & subsequently mentor junior developers.
• Automate testing, implement best practices for CI/CD

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in software engineering
• Strong expertise in one of the languages/frameworks: Node.js, Spring Boot, Java
• Strong expertise in any RDBMS or No SQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Basic understanding of DevOps.
• Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficiency with Git
• Appreciation for clean and well documented code. 

Bonus points if you

• Have shipped consumer products that are being used at scale
• Have any other native or hybrid mobile app development experience
• Are enthusiastic about being a part of a startup and enjoy taking end to end ownership of tasks.
