Who am I?

• I am a MAVEN when it comes to UNIX.
• I constantly tinker with the O/S.
• I have been a System Administrator and know how to configure a box from scratch.
• I have managed several servers at once.
• I have done System failure analysis in a methodical fashion.
• I have worked on Application Servers, WebServers and Databases in some fashion or the other.
• I can hack together both temporary and permanent solutions in a language of my choice (python, perl or bash are preferred).
• I know the importance of automation and repeatability and can automate installation and configuration of servers and applications.
• I know how important security is.
• I know how to harden servers and setup firewalls.
• I am interested in Big Data technologies and are aware of the problems involved in storing and processing large amounts of data.
