Sr. Devops Engineer - AWS Stack, Terraform/Cloudformation, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes, 6-8 yrs exp

Entelligentsia Solutions LLP is a Pune based technology startup. We do a variety of interesting work in product development and technology consulting in Healthcare, Fintech, and e-Commerce domains.  One of our products is in Virtual Reality -  walkinto.in

The Job - 

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Devops engineer for one of our clients to help them manage the Devops of their healthcare products. For the right candidate, this position could be a fulltime remote or based out of Entelligentsia's office is in Bavdhan, Pune.

You will be part of a fast-paced, agile, globally distributed and highly skilled healthcare product development team, a client of Entelligentsia.  Your skills in AWS Stack, Jenkins CI/CD, Terraform/Cloudformation, Linux/Windows scripting, and Docker/Kubernetes will come handy in designing, building and maintaining the Devops of leading healthcare products.  You will report to the CTO of Entelligentsia.

 Must have skills/qualifications - 

  1. Degree in Computer Science/Engineer
  2. 6 -8 years DevOps experience along with 3-4 years of AWS Cloud experience.
  3. At least 4 years of engineering development experience in scripting languages
  4. At least 3 years of experience creating and maintaining Cloud infrastructure as code using technologies such as Terraform or Cloudformation.
  5. At least 2 years of experience with Configuration Management
  6. At least 2 years of experience developing and maintaining a CI/CD system.
  7. At least 3 years of experience with containers, such as Docker, Kubernetes (+), AWS ECS environment or similar.

Experience Summary - 

  1. Strong experience in building and deploying applications on the Cloud, using CI/CD frameworks and Infrastructure automation.
  2. Terraform/other Platform as Code systems
  3. Experience in the installation of application servers and code deployments.
  4. Knowledge of Linux or windows scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, etc.
  5. Deploying, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microservices
    Extensive and current AWS DevOps best practices and tooling expertise, standard Internet services, such as DNS, HTTP, etc
  6. Design and Develop the test automation to validate the builds in the CI/CD pipeline
  7. Sound understanding of key AWS Services such as EC2, ECS, ECR, Lambda, FSx, Elastic Cache, Route, CloudFront, API Gateway, S3, Glacier, RDS, NLB/ALB, Security Groups/NACLs/VPCs, Cloud Watch
  8. Architect, develop and improve our AWS-based deployment processes using container technologies such as Docker.
  9. Develop, Improve our overall infrastructure reliability, scalability, and monitoring, expertise in setting up monitoring dashboards, alerts, log management
  10. Automate processes so that engineers can self-service their operational requirements.
  11. Experience in designing and maintaining Public Cloud-based solutions with AWS
  12. Understanding of cloud-scale and micro/macro-services architectures, Cloud Infrastructure concepts
  13. Experience in developing and maintaining the CI/CD process for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications using tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc.
  14. Hands-on experience in building and administering Containers using tools such as Docker, ECS, Kubernetes (+), EKS (+), etc.
  15. Backup & disaster recovery planning and implementation
  16. Implementation of Cloud security best practices

The ideal candidate

You take pride in writing and maintaining structured and high performing code/configurations, you equally enjoy debugging and improving the existing code/configurations.  You don't hesitate to collaborate/communicate within the distributed team in solving a problem effectively and quickly. You are quite comfortable in presenting complex Devops systems with ease to both technical as well as non-technical team members. You want to learn something new every day and you don't mind questioning the status quo. You understand that product engineering is tougher and is exciting work on building code used by a million users every month.  You don't mind taking risks and trying out new approaches in building effective and impactful Devops. You are confident to make an independent decision and you have the stomach for constructive criticism.
