Android Developer

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of our applications. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You should have experience in dealing with app performance, power management, and network connectivity optimization. You will be closely involved with the design team to iterate on the design and implementation of our applications. Strong knowledge of Java, Android SDK, JSON, Material design, SQLite and RESTful APIs is preferred.

Your skills and responsibilities will include the following:

• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Understanding of RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Integrate Google maps APIs and payment gateway.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
• Strong experience with UI/UX development.
• Experience with publishing apps to Google Play Store
