Python Backend Engineer

We are looking for a passionate and self-driven Backend Engineer well versed with any Python-based Backend Web Framework, to manage, add features and scale up the server side of our Web App.

We are looking to ship a ton of new features and also scale the usage by 10x – sounds challenging? Read on!

As a part of our core team, you will be responsible for:

• API development (structuring REST endpoints + real-time endpoints) 
• Optimizing our current architecture & processes for scale (we expect usage to go up by 10x)
• Writing Automated Test Cases
• Writing integrations with 3rd party APIs

We are working on the following stack:

• Flask 
• PostgreSQL

Optional (Bonus Skills):

• Some prior experience in DevOps (Bash/Python scripting) 
• Experience with Redis, Task Queues (eg Celery) 
• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) 
• Designing real-time communication systems (or integration of existing services like gitter.im, DISQUS) 
• Experience in documentation
