Job Description

Econote is looking for a comprehensive Test Engineer who can support in creating flawless software by conducting multiple tests and validating its usability for a consumer electronic product. The goal is to test the applications in-line with the quality standards to find out all predictable bug and provide feedback to development team to improve the product's functionalities. Applicants with a strong background in application testing and an aptitude for driving innovative projects are the right fit for this role. Evaluation of the software and improvisation in its working will be the primary role of the Test Engineer.

Who are we hiring: Test Engineer

Should have an experience of:  2+ years

Must have a degree in: BE / B Tech in Computer Science / Electronic & Communications / Information Science / Information Technology / Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Skills Required

• Proven work experience with Java, Script, Junit, Manual Testing, Automation Testing and related technical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems (preferably Linux) and platforms using development tools.
• Expertise in executing test cases and documenting actual results, identifying software defects and creating test reports
• Working knowledge on File systems, file structure, database, data structure and file extensions.
• Ability to work productively in a dynamic, priority shifting, Test-driven environment.
• Excellent understanding of software testing and programming principle.
• Thorough understanding of development lifecycle & experience of development methodologies, like waterfall and agile.
• Ingenuity and creativity for solving bottlenecks, complex issues in development.
• Communication skills - including the ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way.
• An understanding of business processes and constraints.
• Up to date on new technologies.
• Develop Real-time high frequency, performance efficient, low latency applications would be a plus point.
• Working experience with Bugzilla, git and bitbucket.
• Strong knowledge on low level programming language.
• Software development analysis, unit and functional testing, Documentation skills.
• Strong knowledge on working with Linux operating system.
• Effectively able to work independently with little hands-on supervision delivering to aggressive timelines.
