Econote is a consumer technology company which is currently working on an electronic product development which aims to transform the whole reading and writing system from paper to paperless. The product shall have different segments for individuals, professionals, students and college ecosystem.

Job Description

Econote is looking for a dedicated QA Engineer with an aptitude for creating robust software by providing feedback and performing validation of the software for a consumer electronic product. The goal is to identify key KPI for the product quality and create quality assurance plan in-line with the quality standard. This also involves planning and execution of regression testing to find out bugs at the early stage of the development, and static tests to avoid any discrepancies with code quality standard. Suggesting solutions for any deficiency in the codes is also one of the significant responsibilities of the QA Engineer. Applicants with a strong background in software testing and a drive to be a part of dynamic projects are the right fit for this role. Evaluation of the software and validation of its working will be the primary role of the QA Engineer.

Who are we hiring: QA Engineer

Should have an experience of:  3+ years

Must have a degree in: BE / B Tech in Computer Science / Electronic & Communications / Information Science / Information Technology / Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Skills Required

• Proven work experience in Software development.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Experience with performance and/or security testing.
• In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems (preferably Linux) and platforms using
• development tools.
• Working knowledge on RESTfull api’s, Java, Python, Junit, etc.
• Excellent understanding of software design and programming principle.

• Thorough understanding of development lifecycle & experience of development methodologies, like waterfall and agile.

• Ingenuity and creativity for solving bottlenecks, complex issues in development.

• Communication skills - including the ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and

  clear way.

• An understanding of business processes and constraints.

• Up to date on new technologies.

• Develop Real-time high frequency, performance efficient, low latency applications would be a plus point.

• Working experience with git and bitbucket.

• Strong knowledge on low level programming language.

• Software development analysis, unit and functional testing, Documentation skills.

• Strong knowledge on working with Linux operating system.
