NoSQL Dbadmin

Position Summary

We are looking for a NoSQL DBA to design, implement, support, and maintain NoSQL Databases for a client in the Telecom industry.

Responsibilities

• Work with development team to design, implement, and maintain optimized NoSQL databases
• Design and develop logical and physical database designs from customer requirements.
• Work on new and existing logical/physical database designs for applications and infrastructure.
• Support application development for problem solving and performance tuning.
• Designing, Building, and automating the NOSQL Architecture, including but not limited to backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
• Provide advice and support to development resources.
• Supporting the standing standards, policies and procedures of the customer team.
• After hours on-call support and will be required to apply production packages during non-peak hours.

Must Have Skills

• Professional experience with experience with real-time architecture, familiarity with CouchDB or similar NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, etc)
• Professional experience in working with AWS
• Professional experience with Node
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment
• Proficiency with installing, configuring, administering, using and benchmarking NoSQL solutions.
• Knowledgeable in designing, developing & documenting use cases.
• Proficient with common developer tool sets such as Java, XML, JSON, REST, Shell, Perl and etc.
  
  

Good To Have Skills

• Prior Telecom/VOIP experience

Experience

• 3 yrs. minimum engineering and/or supporting NoSQL solutions.

• Candidate should be a good team player, able to work on agile, decentralized teams, and be self-motivated
