Who We Are

DefragLabs is a premium software consulting company. We have built and scaled complex web-apps, visualizations, and high-throughput messaging systems. We have worked on security monitoring software, parts of payment gateway, e-commerce, real-time streaming systems, badass crawlers, data analytics platforms and more. More challenging the work, more interested we are. For client projects, we have used Python, Golang, React, Webpack, node.js, AngularJs, TypeScript, D3.js and more.

Job Duties

• Write clean, modern, scalable, and maintainable code for web applications
• Mentor junior engineers
• Participate in code reviews
• Contribute to architecture/design discussions
• Help lead and scale our engineering organization
• Planning, estimation & requirement analysis of the assigned project
• Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion.

Qualifications

Skill set requirements

• Good work ethics
• Strong Javascript skills including experience in multiple frameworks
• Web programming and knowledge of browser standards
• Git, docker, and other Unix command tools
• Experiencing consuming/using RESTful APIs
• Thriving in a fast-paced, quickly evolving, tech start-up environment
• Contributing to a collaborative, dynamic, and diverse team

Additional Assets

• Experience leading a team or mentoring other engineers
• Experience maintaining a single website or product for more than one year
• Familiarity with D3, Highcharts, or other charting packages
• Experience writing automated tests (e.g. unit or integration tests)
• Experience in working with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, Semantic UI, Material design is plus
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, and JWT
• An agile mindset and experience with Scrum or other methodologies
