Culturegrade helps companies measure and improve employee satisfaction & engagement. We help companies reduce their attrition and increase their Glassdoor ratings. Our feedback collection is conversational (through chatbot), personalized and realtime. Our conversation and analysis is powered by context understanding & sentiment analysis (read NLP). More companies are worried about culture than ever - this a huge problem area and we'd like change how companies work with their employees to improve culture.

Our team is from NIT Trichy, IIT Delhi and has worked at Yahoo!, Zynga, Hackerrank, Amdocs, Practo and YCombinator Alum. We are venture funded by one of the top VCs in India & Bay Area and backed by Angels including founders of Exotel & Udaan.

What is the role:

Culturegrade is on the hunt for its first full-time Product Designer! We want to build a design first company. We believe design can never be an after thought, it has to start from day 1 - hence you'll be the #3 hire in the company. Design is important to us and we want to invest heavily in it!

Since we're a small company, you'll have a huge impact. Your thoughtful design will help build trust and help collect meaningful feedback from employees. This will help to build powerful insights and change the overall culture in the company. You'll constantly think about how employees & HR can trust and love us.

We're looking for a full-stack designer with a strong focus on employee UX, and great attention to detail on visuals.

What you'll love to do:

  • Own and execute the entire design experience for employees
  • Sit in customer interviews, understand the experience of employees & employers
  • You'd visit our customers, talk to the employees how they percieve our product and build the design language and founding principles.
  • Build non-compromising design, say several no for one yes (video)
  • Look at data to do design. Love using analytics tools, screen records to validate hypothesis.
  • Build great ways to visualize data - help reduce the clutter & noise for the HR leaders and get straight to action.
  • Build product designed for several stakeholders in mind - CEO, CHRO, Employees, Managers, HR Business Partners.
  • Be creative! Experiment, fail, learn and repeat. You get 1 success out of 20 experiments (being optimistic here)

What you've done:

Must have

  • Have 1-2 years experience in design role.
  • Be creative and have an eye for shape, colour and typography
  • Understand consumer behaviour & psychology.
  • Have done UX design, wireframing, sketches, Task Flows, Userflows
  • Comfortable with any design tool like Sketch/Figma, Illustrator, Framer,

Preferable 

  • Have done Persona creation, moodboard, logos.
  • Worked directly with customers, do interview with customers
  • Ability to understand and decide with data.
  • Have been through course in a formal design school.

Where are we:

  • Instaoffice at HSR Layout 6, Just next to BDA complex - the new flourishing startup hub of Bangalore.
