SQL Engineer

Role Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the existing OLTP (mySQL running on AWS RDS Aurora) and OLAP (PostgreSQL) databases.

2. Custodian of DB schema, query migration, ETL layer

3. Query Optimization and performance engineering

4. Review of Application level queries for performance, adhering to SQL standards 

Candidates must be:

  1. 2-3 years experience working with relational databases like mySQL, PostGre and similar databases - creation of db schema, table spaces, performance tuning, index creation, working with db configuration
  2. Experience working with Databases in a cloud environment
  3. Hands on experience in shell scripting in Unix OS
  4. Basics of SQL programming (and with the interest to learn more on SQL)
