Senior Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails

About The Opportunity

We are looking for young, ambitious and fire-in-the-belly professionals. The candidate will participate in all phases of the Connecpath software development cycle: from product definition and design through implementation, debugging, testing, and support. You will work collaboratively with other engineers/freelancers/contractors and must be willing to take on any technical tasks that contribute to the goals of the team and the company. About You

• Ability to transform design into implementation
• Ability to work collaboratively with a small team and independently
• Experience optimizing code for scalability.
• Test Driven or Test Informed development. Not that you have to write the tests first, but you would not submit a pull request without test coverage.

Required Skills:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or professional experience building web/mobile code.
• 2+ years professional experience building backend for mobile apps on IOS/Android
• Experience shipping applications for both Android and iOS
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
• Expert at Ruby
• Experience building a scalable microservice in Ruby on Rails
• Experience with agile development techniques including test-driven development with RSpec (Rails) or Jest
• Git proficiency
• Experience with AWS
• PostgreSQL proficiency would be helpful
