iOS Developer For a US Based Startup

This is a full-time position for 'NxD Labs' a US based startup company that has partnered with an Indian based company 'Cavalier India'. We're looking for an iOS engineer that will develop & maintain a new app similar to the Airbnb app, by leveraging existing infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with other developers and UI/UX designers. You’ll be the communication bridge between the app development team and the founders.

This position requires someone who enjoys and wants to learn new things, wants to own and know the entire product, can work both independently as well as part of a team, and is a self-motivated problem-solver. You will be encouraged to contribute ideas, learn new things, and work outside of your comfort zone.

REQUIRED skills, experience, and background:

• Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining native iOS applications (point us to your work in the App Store).
• Experience developing location aware mobile applications.
• Some UI/UX design sense / skill.
• Comfortable working through the entire iOS stack from UI and animations to network and storage 
• Deep knowledge of Objective-C
• Thorough understanding of all iOS Tools including: Xcode, Instruments, etc. 
• A high emphasis on testing (A/B testing, ‘Build Measure Learn’ Model)
• Ability to follow strict deadlines.
• Ability to effectively present information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• A high drive for self-improvement professionally and personally.

Desirable skills, experience, and background:

• Experience building e-commerce apps.
• A thorough understanding of Airbnb.com and its app.
• Ability to analyze competitor apps & websites to extract useful features.
• iOS (bonus: Android development)
• A Non-fictional book reader and a high drive for self-improvement (because you’ll have several reading homeworks to complete every week).
• Ability to adapt to constant changes in work schedule & culture based on new knowledge.

Education / Experience:

• A BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering from a top school, but a wonderful project list trumps all.
• Prior startup experience is fantastic (but not necessary); being highly driven will help you hit the ground running.
