Django Intern

Capital Float is looking for 6 months tech intern who is dedicated to his craft, writes code that is proud of and can hit the ground running. We need you to write beautiful, high standard code in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways.

You will be a part of the Decision Science team and will be working on Decision Engine, a real-time decision-making engine for the loan applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Write “clean”, well designed modular code
- Come up with innovative solutions to the hurdles that confront us on a day-to-day basis
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Follow industry best practices

Need to have:
- Extensive experience with all aspects of the OOP, Python (both 2.x and 3.x), Django, MySql, PostgreSQL, Version Control, linux, Shell Scripting, REST APIs
- Experience in Celery, Redis/RabbitMQ
- A serious passion for coding, with the ability to intuitively pick up and use any new language/protocol/framework
- Ability to clearly communicate rationale and conceptual ideas

Good to have:
- Experience in Amazon Web Services or any other cloud platform
- Experience in intergration of third party APIs (e.g Google, Facebook)
- Experience with front-end programming (CSS, HTML, Bootstrap, Angular/React JS)
