The Head-Quality Engineering role is responsible for governance of quality assurance practices within the organisation. This position will lead and mentor in the quality function and drive their performance across projects.

They continually strive to improve our testing practices and work to incorporate best practices. They bring strong strategic and tactical thinking to their role in aligning the Quality Engineering organisation with the overall business goals.

Your Profile

• You will be a champion of Change Management furthering the orgs transition from a Quality Assurance (QA) culture to that of a Test Engineering / Automation driven culture.
• You will be a tenacious driver of adoption for Continuous Integration supported by highly distributed, highly stable automated testing along with stress test on environment.
• You will be a forward looking advocate and integrator of industry best practices and technology trends around automated testing and continuous integration/delivery.
• You will be an advocate of leveraging new and existing automated testing tools to support non-traditional testing needs.
• You will own and be responsible for the testing of new functions and features across platforms.
• You will proactively engage with developers, product managers, and technical program managers throughout the lifecycle to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
• You will actively mentor your team in testing best-practices while also emphasising the use or development of automation.
• Enabling the utilisation of the test automation in a continuous integration test environment, and driving the adoption of early automated testing by the project teams.
• Recommending improvements in test approaches and strategies.

Your Checklist

• 9 years of Program/Project Management Experience
• A minimum of 7 years of experience working with software development life cycle, software testing methods, and change management practices and tools
• Experience working in both Agile & Waterfall Methodologies
• Expert level ability with one or more of the following test tools – QTP, Selenium
• Strong knowledge of best in class tools in the quality domain – defect tracking, test case management, etc.
• Ability to manage quality engineers in the development and design of test harnesses used for testing shared components.
• Extensive background in designing and delivering complex automated test harnesses.
• Strong project management and organisational abilities.
