Senior Software Engineer - PHP

PHP continues to power some of the most popular technology frameworks worldwide. We are looking for a competent programmer to join us in our journey. What we value are skills and an aptitude as a tinkerer and full stack developer.

As a senior programmer, we expect you to be involved in all aspects of software design, development, testing and deployment. Strong software engineering fundamentals and discipline are prerequisites. Familiarity with Agile and Lean principles would be considered an advantage.

As a team that encourages remote working, time management, personal discipline and communication skills are key to being part of a successful team for us. Familiarity with test-driven development and continuous integration is also important to be part of our team.

With regards to work, we value Expertise over Experience in PHP programming. We also value 'pure' JavaScript programming skills. Knowledge of JS frameworks is an added advantage, but not the key criteria.

We also value individuals who are connected with developments in the PHP community as well as JavaScript world. Expertise and experience with Drupal and Symfony is a key requirement. Experience with Laravel and similar frameworks would be considered an advantage.

You are expected to be proficient in Web technologies, APIs, have good knowledge in Database concepts, and relational as well as NoSQL databases. You also are expected to have a good understanding of performance tuning both at application and DB level.
