Assessprep is a platform for online assessment, for the next generation of students teachers and schools. The world is moving to a digital age, and more and more schools and examination boards are moving to computerised examinations and tests for their students. Assessprep has been THE platform of choice since 2015 for many schools across the world, from Canada, to Qatar, and Korea...

Currently we serve schools with the International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP and DP programs, and are soon looking to expand to other popular exam boards around the world.

The role is heavily JS based, and AngularJS in particular, our backend is in RoR. There are plenty of opportunities to grow to become a technical lead in whatever you choose to specialise in. What we’ll expect from you?

• Minimum product development experience of 2+ years in web
• Experience building products using a mainstream library or framework (AngularJS
• preferred)
• Strong understanding of Javascript, HTML & CSS, CSS pre/post processors and
• Bootstrap
• Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layout
• Know how to write good code: clean, modular, tested and scalable
• Understand the cost of HTTP requests and are always looking for ways to
• improve the performance of the product across devices
• Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions
• You’ve a Bachelor / Master degree
• Know your field: cutting edge tech and the right tools for the job
• Deeply care about what you create and you value your team
• You’re a nice person, we need no super hero but humble team player
• Core skills:
  • Ideally 2+ years with Angular / Angular JS 1.x, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
• Nice to have
  • React JS, MEAN full-stack
  • A degree - B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech
  • Experience in writing Unit Tests, Regression tests
  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Gimp, etc.
  • Wire framing and mocking skills. Tools don’t matter but we used Balsamiq, Marvel...

What will be your role?

• Play a major role in designing and developing amazing front-end interface
• Design components which are cross-device, cross-browser compatible
• Own end to end responsibility, starting from defining the problem statement (either yourself or alongside your peers), development (Proof of Concept if needed), testing, releasing in staging & then production environment and finally monitoring
