We are a market leader in providing portable onboard Wi-Fi platforms, Onboard Passenger Entertainment & Mobile Crew Sales Solutions to different passenger travel segments. We are expanding our team in our head office in the Hague. Started 5 years ago, we are the world's fastest growing company in mobile In-Flight Entertainment space and providing ancillary sales solutions to passenger crew segment (PoS) . Yet, we still work with the zeal of a startup and bring disruptive innovations in a cost-effective manner to the airline cabin and other modes of passenger transport (buses, trains, airports). We make thousands of passengers and crew happy everyday all over the globe!

What will you be doing -

Work with highly-skilled members who are passionate and driven about their profession, including developers, architects, testers and product owners. You will be a valued member of the team and will participate throughout the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging stages in agile development environment. You will work within a team to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them. You will be working at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities. You will also be required to produce well-written, well-documented, high-quality, fast code.

Your key responsibilities :

• You will be part of the team that drives the heart of the systems (what we call the “Core”). A group of NodeJS, Full stack developers and Java, Groovy/Grails, focused on delivering high quality enterprise solutions, ensure the delivery of high end experiences to our customers
• You will help AirFi to quickly iterate and scale development to different segments of customers with standard processes, automation, monitoring and rapid quality assurance
• Continuously monitor production environment and also look for continuous improvements and optimisations, open to accept new opportunities and challenges
• Be the domain expert, lead by example and setting a high development standard.

What we look for :

• Proficiency in NodeJS an experience of 4+ years
• Proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms
• NoSQL (MongoDB, CouchDB, Cloudant...) experience
• Design and architecture of (secure) REST APIs
• Experience in Angular, SCSS, HTML5 preferred
• Experience with Git (GitHub), automatic deployments, continuous integration

• You care deeply about writing quality/testable/modular code, because we do too
• Experience with Heroku, IBM Bluemix and/or AWS
• Obsession with metrics and analytics
• Experience with working with on-/offshore team
