About Airboxr

We're quite literally changing the way people use spreadsheets today. Imagine all the pain a typical business analyst goes through to analyse data where they have to collect, clean and organise data from various third-party data sources. We remedy that by creating an all powerful spreadsheets add-on that lets you query data across different sources without having to write a single line of code.

We're proudly a remote-first and hands-off organization. All we need from you is to take ownership of your work and be as excited as we are about what we’re building here. Our rule for meetings is simple. If something's taking too long to explain over slack, we jump on a call.

Tech Stack

Our frontend is built with React and MUI, written in Typescript. Our backend APIs are built with NestJS (also written in Typescript) that talk to a PostgreSQL server, hosted on GCP.

You can probably tell that we prefer strongly typed languages and opinionated frameworks. That's because we want to build a real product that scales well, not a prototype that barely works.

We will be doing a robust refactor of our data platform very soon. If you have any ideas on what tech stack and framework would be best suited for writing data pipelines, we’d love to talk to you.

Requirements

It will help if you're familiar with most of the following things already:

• Opinionated server-side application development frameworks

• SQL and ORMs

• Typescript & React

The following is also important, given that we'll be collaborating remotely:

• Familiarity and comfort with online communication through multiple channels (Slack, Zoom etc.).

• Ability to communicate thoughts and opinions clearly in written and verbal communications.

• Ability to think critically and form opinions based on information available.

Ideally you have about 4-5 years of experience, but we won't hold it against you if you don't.
