VP - Engineering

We at Adapt Ready are building the next-gen risk intelligence platform that can cater to multiple industries - commercial insurance being our current focus. 

We are looking for a VP of Engineering, who will fit the bill as below:

Responsibilities:
* Oversee front-end and back-end development teams
* Establish, communicate, and implement engineering and development policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations.
* Identify technical process gaps across multiple product lines and ensure seamless execution
* Manage various features and programs, work well with cross functional teams and identify technical dependencies and ensure smooth execution of organizational goals
* Monitor reliability and performance of all systems and suggest improvements
* Ensure compliance with security regulations
* Hire engineers and coordinate their training
* Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to improve feature sets and technical capabilities of product set
* Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and development related to the industries we cater to
* Prepare efficient evaluation system for production process to maximize productivity

Experience, Technical skills & Knowledge:
* 15+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role
* Experience in highly scalable B2B products
* Should have worked in a high growth technology environment
* Strong development experience especially in PERN/MERN stack
* Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP etc., and deploying microservices
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience working with complex data sets
* Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and technical innovation
* Strong architectural design skills
* Expertise in developing RESTful APIs using Node.js/Python
* Knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and search engines like Elasticsearch/Solr etc.
* Should have a strong focus on quality, scalability, and performance of the product
* Desire to build customer-centric products and work closely with Product Management and UX teams to achieve that
* Knowledge in testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Protractor, Jasmine or Mocha, Jest and Enzyme, JMeter, Jenkins, SonarQube Postman or similar and equivalent tools is an added advantage
