Sensible programmers

We’re looking for sensible, curious and persistent programmers. ActiveSphere[1] is a consulting company. If you join us, you would find colleagues who have written code in JavaScript (ES6), Go, Ruby, Erlang, Haskell, Scheme, Elisp and more using, D3, React, Angular, ko, NodeJS, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails and more. We built a tunneling solution in Go, a Chat Server in Erlang, a Font converter in Haskell, a DynamoDB emulator in Ruby, a Remote debugger (in JavaScript, and Go), a Youtube annotation extension in JavaScript and more.

When not working on client projects, some of us spend time on Machine Learning, Maths, Finance, Visualization, reading about how the brain works etc. We are learners, we are curious, we try to explore (not just for our clients, but for ourselves). We would love to have colleagues who enjoy exploring their own interests.

Few notes about us

- Consulting company gives an impression of mundane website development work. Fortunately (and we intend to keep it that way) our clients have more interesting problems to solve.
- We intend to hire well & remain a group of people who inspire each other to be curious, and to improve.
- We give ourselves freedom, flexibility, space & time to work on personal projects or pursuits.
- We try to be open and frank about the company's workings & finances.

- Everyone contributes towards building the company. To give you some examples, most of us love reading. So we enabled everyone to buy any books they wanted via the company, which they get to keep. Some of us were interested in cycling. So we bought a top of the line hybrid, which everyone could use. One of us got into a bad accident & didn’t have medical cover. We covered him & everyone else as well.

- We try & pay ourselves well :)
