OCI Cloud and Network Engineer

Resource Type: OCI Cloud and Network Engineer Total Number of Resource required: 4 Location: Vimanagar (Pune) Network & Cloud Security Team We are hiring experienced cloud professionals for our OCI-focused cloud and network operations team. The role involves managing and securing multi-cloud network infrastructure, firewall policies, cloud connectivity, and automation across enterprise environments. We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure along with exposure to other cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and optionally Google Cloud. Open Positions Role Experience Openings OCI Cloud Expert – L2 3–6 Years 4 Key Responsibilities Common Responsibilities (L2 & L3) • Manage and support OCI cloud networking components. • Configure and troubleshoot: o VCN o Subnets o Route Tables o Security Lists o NSG o DRG o FastConnect o Load Balancers o VPN Connectivity • Handle firewall and security policy implementation. • Perform network troubleshooting across cloud and hybrid environments. • Support cloud-to-cloud and on-premises connectivity. • Work with multi-cloud environments including AWS and Azure. • Implement and maintain secure network architecture based on enterprise and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams. • Participate in incident management, RCA, and change implementation. • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. • Support automation initiatives using scripting or Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Additional Responsibilities – L3 • Lead cloud network design and architecture discussions. • Handle complex troubleshooting and major incident resolution. • Review and optimize firewall/security policies. • Guide L2 engineers and support technical escalations. • Drive automation and standardization initiatives. • Participate in governance, audit, and compliance activities. • Work closely with project and solution architecture teams. Mandatory Technical Skills OCI Skills • Strong hands-on experience in OCI networking services. • Experience with: o VCN Peering o DRG Routing o FastConnect o Site-to-Site VPN o Security Lists & NSG o OCI Load Balancers o WAF concepts o Hybrid connectivity Networking Skills (Mandatory) Candidates must have strong networking fundamentals: • TCP/IP • OSI Model • Routing & Switching • CIDR/Subnetting • NAT • VLAN • DNS/DHCP • BGP • VPN • Layer 3/Layer 4 concepts • Network troubleshooting • Traffic flow analysis Firewall & Security Knowledge • Palo Alto / Check Point / Fortinet firewall understanding. • Security policy management. • Rule creation and optimization. • URL filtering and application rules. • Inbound/Outbound traffic control. • Firewall troubleshooting and log analysis. Cloud Knowledge (Preferred) Exposure to one or more: • AWS • Azure • GCP Preferred services: • VPC/VNet networking • Security Groups / NSG • Transit Gateway / Virtual WAN • Cloud Load Balancers • IAM basics • Cloud routing concepts Automation & DevOps Skills Preferred hands-on knowledge in: • Terraform • Shell scripting • Python • Ansible • CI/CD concepts • Azure DevOps or Jenkins Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. • Relevant cloud certifications preferred: o OCI Certification o AWS Certification o Azure Certification o Networking/Security certifications preferred Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for candidates who: • Have strong troubleshooting capability. • Can work in enterprise cloud environments. • Understand cloud security and networking deeply. • Are proactive and automation-focused. • Have good communication and stakeholder management skills. • Can work in a 24x7 support/project environment if required.
