Technical Pre-Sales Engineer

- Determines customers needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information. 
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies. 
- Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production. 
- Obtains product market share by working to develop product sales strategies. 
- Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses 
- Working closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions 
- Replying to customers following requests for information and proposal requests 
- Responding to RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFI (Request for Information) by prospects 
- Presenting proposals to customers 
- Providing ongoing support for customers post implementation 
- Producing detailed costings for customers and ensuring the contract is profitable

Experience required: 
• Previous experience working within a technical pre-sales position. 
• Must be a subject matter expert with software solutions experience involving data science and cloud (Azure or AWS). 
• An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand. 
• Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position would be a strong advantage.
